Yep.
Crap happens; it changes you. To go back and undo the misery is to sacrifice that part of you, something you likely wouldn’t find on an easy road. Once the hard part is done with, there’s no reason to wish it away, and no reason to give up that part of you, even if it would mean having avoided something crappy.
